Ticks are common enemies, especially for individuals residing in Western or rustic areas. The deer tick, infamous for snacking on deer, is common for contracting the Lyme disease. According to the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), Lyme ticks can be reversed or cured with the application of an antibiotic. However, if left undiagnosed or untreated, it can be fatal to humans.
